"Obsessed With Embiid" is an editorial spread design highlighting Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers. Embiid, the 2023 NBA MVP, began the 2023-24 season with incredible strength—with some speculating that he could win the award again. From digital illustrations to custom infographics, these pages are infused with the heart and soul of Philadelphia.
My typography creates a double meaning in the title, transforming the "ii" in Embiid's last name into the number 2.
My custom illustrations and icons show off Embiid's personality as a powerhouse on and off the court. Paying homage to the historic city of Philadelphia, it also features a 1910 map of the city, courtesy of The Historical Society of Pennsylvania.
